A Union Flag flies at her jackstaff and a White Ensign at her stern, with hills rising behind her and a large flock of gulls wheeling in the grey sky.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eBuilt by William Denny and Brothers at Dumbarton after the order was moved from an overloaded Vickers-Armstrongs yard at Barrow, she was launched in February 1945 and commissioned on 19th December 1945 as leader of the Ch group, with extra accommodation for a staff of flotilla officers. From 1946 she served at Malta with the 1st Destroyer Squadron and in 1947 took part in the patrols off Palestine, before coming home in 1950 and going into reserve. Although she was given Squid anti-submarine mortars in place of her after gun mount in 1954, she never went to sea in commission again, and after years laid up at Gibraltar she was towed to La Spezia
