Signal flags fly from her mast, and behind her a dark headland is topped by a row of tall radio masts, with a barrage balloon hanging in the grey sky to the right.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eA Type I Hunt, she was built by Yarrow at Scotstoun, launched in April 1940 and completed that September, spending her first two years on escort and patrol work in the North Sea and the English Channel. In 1942 she was adopted by the people of Middlesbrough during \u003ca title=\"Royal Navy Warships Photo prints\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hampshireprints.co.uk\/collections\/royal-navy-warship-photo-prints\"\u003eWarship\u003c\/a\u003e Week, and in 1943 she moved to the Mediterranean, covering the landings in Sicily and at Salerno before operating in the Aegean the following year. Sold for scrap after the war, she broke her tow on the way to the breakers at Llanelli in June 1957 and was wrecked on Llangennith beach on the Gower, where her remains were finally blown up in
