Her pale upperworks and darker lower hull aft stand out against a flat grey sea and sky, with a smudge of smoke and other shipping on the far horizon beyond her stern.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eOne of the Co group of the C Class, she was built by Yarrow at Scotstoun, launched in June 1944 and commissioned on 6th June 1945, working up at Scapa Flow before occupation duties at Wilhelmshaven that autumn. Early in 1946 she joined the British Pacific Fleet, serving with the 8th Destroyer Flotilla from Kure in Japan, and after a refit at home in 1948 she was fitted for minelaying. She spent 1953 to 1957 with the 6th Destroyer Squadron of the Home Fleet, paid off in February 1958 and was broken up at Troon in 1962.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eYou can read more about
