Her single large funnel, compact bridge and director tower, and the 6 inch guns spaced along her decks show the new look of her reconstruction, with men on her forecastle and quarterdeck, low sheds on the shore to the right and a dark bank of cloud above.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eBuilt at Portsmouth Dockyard and completed in 1925, she served in the East Indies and then spent four years as flagship of the Reserve Fleet before being chosen as the first of her class to be rebuilt to meet the London Naval Treaty limits. Between 1937 and 1938 her original armament and torpedo tubes were removed in favour of nine 6 inch guns and a much stronger anti-aircraft fit, and two boilers were taken out to give her greater range at the cost of some speed, before she recommissioned in June 1938. Less than two years later, during the Norwegian campaign, she struck the Faksen Shoal near Bodø in May 1940 with troops and stores aboard, and after everyone was safely taken off her wreck was sunk by
