Seen from the port side in camouflage with a fuselage roundel, fin flash and the serial painted as “FF-741”, it shows its long glazed canopy with the rear gunner’s machine gun inside, while men can be seen at work in the tower behind.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe Bermuda was the British name for the Brewster SB2A Buccaneer, a scout bomber designed for the United States Navy, and Britain ordered 750 as dive bombers. Deliveries to the \u003ca title=\"RAF Photo prints\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hampshireprints.co.uk\/collections\/royal-air-force-photo-prints\"\u003eRAF\u003c\/a\u003e began in July 1942, but by then Brewster’s production troubles were so serious that the US Navy had taken over the company that April. The RAF judged the Bermuda unfit for combat, and most of those delivered became target tugs, while a handful went to the Fleet Air Arm for trials.
