Taken from low in the long grass, the frame shows her port side from the long nose probe back to the fin, which is cut by the edge of the picture. Two crew sit in tandem under the closed canopy, with the rear occupant giving a thumbs-up. The serial, a roundel and a red, white and blue flash on the dark blue fin stand out against the yellow, with the perimeter fence and a flat grey sky behind.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe two-seat Gnat T1 was not simply the fighter with a second seat added. Its fuselage was lengthened and its wing enlarged to make room for the extra cockpit and more fuel. When the \u003ca title=\"RAF Photo prints\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hampshireprints.co.uk\/collections\/royal-air-force-photo-prints\"\u003eRAF\u003c\/a\u003e retired the type at the end of the 1970s, many airframes passed into private hands. A small number are still kept flying in Britain, which is why the type could appear alongside the Red Arrows again in 2024.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThis print is ideal for RAF
