Seen close up from the front, with its nose to the right, the Merlin fills most of the picture, its pilots behind the broad windscreen and a machine gun barrel jutting from a forward window. In October 2011, when this photograph was filed, 20th Armoured Brigade was taking over command of Task Force Helmand for Operation Herrick 15. The Merlins later passed from the RAF to the Royal Navy’s Commando \u003ca title=\"RAF Helicopter Photo prints\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hampshireprints.co.uk\/collections\/raf-helicopter-photo-prints\"\u003eHelicopter\u003c\/a\u003e Force in 2014, where they were rebuilt as the HC4 for operations at
