In this portrait frame, shot from above and alongside, the noses point down the picture, and each jet trails a column of white smoke back up towards the top of the frame. The nearest Hawk fills the centre, with her Union Flag fin, the “60” season marking and ROYAL AIR FORCE along her fuselage, while others are stepped out above and below her. On 5th June 2024 they led the national flypast over Portsmouth and Southsea Common, and on 6th June, the anniversary itself, they crossed the Channel to fly over the British Normandy Memorial at Ver-sur-Mer alongside the RAF \u003ca title=\"The story of the Typhoon\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hampshireprints.co.uk\/blogs\/british-military-aircraft-and-vehicles-guide\/eurofighter-typhoon-history\"\u003eTyphoon\u003c\/a\u003e display jet.
