The camera looks straight down on the team, with five jets in a wide line across the top of the frame, two more stacked down the middle, and a pair on either flank at the back. The three rearmost jets trail white smoke over the ground below, where a town follows a green valley floor between dark ridges, with snow on the higher slopes and white cloud drifting across the lower half of the frame.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe team has flown nine jets since 1968, when it grew from seven aircraft. Within the nine, the front five are known as Enid and the rear four as Gypo, and Reds 6 and 7 split away as the Synchro Pair for the opposing passes in the second half of the show.
