This upright frame is taken from below. The jets run diagonally down the picture, and their white smoke trails sweep up and over in a wide arc against a bright sky streaked with high cloud. The flight took place on the day the team launched its diamond anniversary campaign, ahead of its sixtieth display season.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe team was set up in 1964 at RAF Fairford, flying the Folland Gnat, and gave its first season of public displays in 1965. The Hawk replaced the Gnat for the 1980 season and remains the team’s aircraft today. In 2022 the Red Arrows moved from their long-time home at RAF Scampton to RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire.
