HMS Edinburgh D97 Type 42 Destroyer 6 June 2011 High Bow View Photo Print
HMS Edinburgh (D97), a Royal Navy Type 42 destroyer, heads straight at the camera in this high, head-on view from 6 June 2011, taken at sea shortly after she sailed from Mindelo in the Cape Verde Islands. Her stem splits a low swell, the 4.5-inch gun and bridge windows sit squarely in the centre, and above the big Sea Dart tracker dome the White Ensign flies from the mast in hazy, bright sunshine.
She had left Portsmouth in May 2011 for maritime security patrols around the British South Atlantic Islands, including the Falklands and South Georgia, calling at countries along the west coast of Africa on the way. The day after this photo, 7 June, she carried out the first replenishment at sea of the deployment alongside the Royal Fleet Auxiliary tanker RFA Black Rover off West Africa.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
