RAF C-130J Hercules C4 Head On Akrotiri June 2022 Photo Print
A Royal Air Force Hercules C4 of 903 Expeditionary Air Wing flies almost straight at the camera on 6 June 2022, seen from slightly above on a local sortie from RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus. An airfield with its runway and hangars lies behind the aircraft, with dry scrubland and a rocky coastline running down to turquoise sea at lower left. The number 874 can be made out on the nose, and all four propellers show as faint discs.
903 Expeditionary Air Wing is the RAF's deployed wing at Akrotiri, and its Hercules carried supplies and equipment to bases across the Middle East, with local sorties like this one keeping crews current. The C-130J entered RAF service in 1999, the C4 being the stretched C-130J-30 and the C5 the standard length. The type was retired from RAF service in June 2023 after more than fifty years of Hercules operations, so photographs of it at work in Cyprus now record the last years of the fleet.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
