RAF E-7 Wedgetail WT001 Landing at Lossiemouth May 2026 Photo Print
The first Wedgetail AEW Mk1 for the Royal Air Force, WT001, comes in to land at RAF Lossiemouth on its arrival day, 21 May 2026, with wheels down and flaps set. Behind it lie a band of yellow gorse, a row of low buildings and the open sea, under a pale blue sky with streaks of cloud. The ROYAL AIR FORCE titles, the radar array above the fuselage and the code 01 on the fin are all clear.
The Wedgetail is based on the Boeing 737 airliner and carries a Multi-Role Electronically Scanned Array radar in the fixed beam mounted on its back, giving long range air and maritime surveillance and battle management. It fills the airborne early warning gap left when the E-3D Sentry was retired in 2021, and the RAF order was reduced from five aircraft to three. This aircraft was flown up from STS Aviation Services at Birmingham Airport by a mixed Boeing UK and RAF crew.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
