British Army GPMG Gunner with 3 PARA Swift Response May 2024 Photo Print
A soldier attached to B Company, 3rd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, British Army, fires a General Purpose Machine Gun on its bipod at enemy positions in depth during the combined arms live firing phase of Exercise Swift Response in Estonia on 4 May 2024. The view is from just behind his shoulder, with the ammunition belt feeding across the sandy parapet, spent cases scattered in front of him and a line of pine trees under a clear blue sky.
The Parachute Regiment was formed in 1942, and its 3rd Battalion fought at Arnhem in September 1944. In June 1982 3 PARA took Mount Longdon in the Falklands, the battle in which Sergeant Ian McKay won a posthumous Victoria Cross. The battalion now serves in 16 Air Assault Brigade, the Army's airborne formation, which led a force of more than 2,300 troops from four nations on Swift Response in 2024.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
