Discover our Royal Navy Holland Class Submarines photo prints, featuring the very first submarines to serve in the Royal Navy. Built under licence by Vickers at Barrow-in-Furness to the design of the Irish-American engineer John Philip Holland, the five boats were launched in 1901 and 1902 and were used to train the first British submariners and to discover how this new weapon might best be employed. Holland 1, which foundered under tow to the breakers in 1913, was raised in 1982 and is now preserved at the Royal Navy Submarine Museum in Gosport. Available as high-quality photo prints or premium framed prints, they are perfect for collectors and enthusiasts of Royal Navy history. Browse the collection to find the ideal print for your home or office.
