3 Commando Brigade Royal Marines Jackal Fibonacci February 2009 Photo Print
A Jackal of 3 Commando Brigade, Royal Marines, heads away from the camera across a wide, stony plain near Kuh-e Baba and Shin Ghar in Helmand, Afghanistan, during Operation Fibonacci in February 2009. Her gunner sits high behind a heavy machine gun on the roof mount, facing forward. Radio aerials rise above the vehicle, and kit, a spade and stowage bags are strapped across her rear. Three more vehicles cross the plain in the distance, and bare brown mountains rise on the right under a pale sky.
3 Commando Brigade traces its roots to the Second World War, when commandos of the brigade fought in Burma. In 1982 it provided the main landing force for the Falklands. It commanded Task Force Helmand twice in quick succession, first on Operation Herrick 5 from late 2006 and again on Herrick 9 from autumn 2008. During the second tour, vehicles like this Jackal gave the brigade the speed to range across the open desert away from the river valley.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
