45 Commando Royal Marines Snipers in Line Norway February 2026 Photo Print
Royal Marines Commando snipers of 45 Commando lie shoulder to shoulder on a firing point in northern Norway on 21st February 2026, their rifles stacked across the frame as snow drives past the lens. The nearest man has a white net cover over his helmet and a white covering across his lower face, and is settled in behind his scope with ear protection clamped to the helmet rail. Four telescopic sights are in view, two of them showing the Leupold name, on rifles finished in mottled brown and green, and a second sniper is hunched over his own weapon just behind.
The photograph was taken as the UK Commando Force went back to the Arctic for its 2026 winter deployment, working from Camp Viking at Øverbygd, south of Tromsø, ahead of Exercise Cold Response. 45 Commando spent seven years in Aden during the 1960s before moving to Arbroath in 1971, where it took on the mountain and Arctic warfare role it has held ever since. Its snipers are the unit’s specialists in reconnaissance and precision fire.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
