47 Commando Royal Marines Raiding Craft Australia July 2024 Photo Print
Royal Marines Commandos of 539 Raiding Squadron, 47 Commando (Raiding Group), speed across the water in a raiding craft alongside Australian troops in the Northern Territory of Australia in July 2024, during Exercise Predators Run. A gunner in a scrim-covered helmet sits behind a belt-fed machine gun on a mount at the front, while the men behind him, in helmets fitted with night-vision mounts and headsets, ride astride the boat’s jockey seats as spray bursts up across the foreground. A second craft with a tall equipment mast follows close behind, against a low line of trees on the far shore and a pale, overcast sky.
The original No. 47 (Royal Marine) Commando was raised in 1943, landed on Gold Beach on D-Day in June 1944 and was disbanded after the war. The name returned on 5 November 2019, when 1 Assault Group Royal Marines, the Corps’ specialist home for landing craft and small boat operations, was renamed 47 Commando (Raiding Group). Headquartered at RM Tamar in Devonport, Plymouth, it trains the Royal Marines’ boat crews and assault squadrons and specialises in amphibious and coastal raiding, riverine work and small boat operations.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
