British Army AAC Squirrel Helicopter Middle Wallop Dawn 2015 Photo Print
An Army Air Corps Squirrel training helicopter of the British Army, fuselage number 52, stands alone on the airfield at Middle Wallop in Hampshire at first light. Mist lies over the grass and the wooded ridge behind, and the low golden sun turns the aircraft almost to a silhouette, picking out only its yellow upper cowling and the white 52 on the nose.
The Squirrel is a military version of the AS350 Ecureuil, a light single-engined helicopter designed in France by Aérospatiale. From 1997 it was the basic rotary-wing trainer at the Defence Helicopter Flying School, flown in this black and yellow scheme, and Army pilots also flew it at Middle Wallop during their later training. Middle Wallop has been the home of Army flying since the Army Air Corps was formed there in 1957, and the Squirrel was eventually replaced in the training role by the Airbus Juno.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
