Astute Class Submarine 2021 Photo Print
An Astute Class submarine drives towards the camera on the surface in the Mediterranean on 14 June 2021, photographed from the air while sailing with the UK Carrier Strike Group. Seen almost head-on, her foreplanes stretch out either side of the casing, two figures stand on top of the fin beside the ensign, and a broad, curling white wake spreads out behind her rudder across the deep blue sea.
The Astute Class are nuclear-powered attack submarines built by BAE Systems at Barrow-in-Furness, with the first of class launched in 2007 and seven boats planned in total. They carry Spearfish heavyweight torpedoes and Tomahawk land attack missiles, and their reactor is designed to last the life of the boat without refuelling. In 2021 one of the class sailed with Carrier Strike Group 21, the task group led by HMS Queen Elizabeth on her first operational deployment, guarding the force from below the surface.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
