British Army 1 RGR Gurkhas Climb Wall Nahr-e Saraj June 2010 Photo Print
Gurkhas of C Company, 1st Battalion The Royal Gurkha Rifles, British Army, cross a high mud wall by ladder on a patrol from Patrol Base 2 in the Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand, during Operation Moshtarak in 2010. One rifleman, bent under a heavy pack, is halfway over the top. A second waits at the foot of the ladder, ready to follow, and two rifles lean against the wall beside him. To the right a dirt track runs along the wall between strips of green grass, with trees and a low compound behind under a clear blue sky. The patrol was carried out with soldiers of the Afghan National Army.
Gurkhas have served the British Crown since 1815, when the East India Company first recruited men from Nepal after the Anglo-Nepalese War. The Royal Gurkha Rifles was formed in 1994 by merging the four existing Gurkha rifle regiments. Its battalions served in Afghanistan from the early years of the campaign. In Nahr-e Saraj in 2010, 1 RGR was holding ground north of Lashkar Gah and working closely with the Afghan National Army.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
