British Army 1 YORKS Live Firing BATUS Canada September 2014 Photo Print
The 1st Battalion, The Yorkshire Regiment (1 YORKS) Battlegroup, British Army, live fires across the prairie at BATUS, Alberta, Canada, in September 2014, during Exercise Prairie Lightning. Two big explosions erupt side by side in the middle distance, their orange fireballs wrapped in towering grey and black smoke, while armoured vehicles move across the plain in front of and to the right of the blasts, kicking up dust trails. The light is low and soft, with a pale pink sky over the rolling hills and two range targets standing in the grass in the foreground.
The Yorkshire Regiment was formed on 6 June 2006 by bringing together three of the county’s historic regiments: the Green Howards, the Prince of Wales’s Own Regiment of Yorkshire, and the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment. Its 1st Battalion served in Iraq and Afghanistan before training on the Canadian prairie as an armoured infantry battle group, with tanks of the King’s Royal Hussars, Royal Engineers and Royal Artillery under command.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
