British Army 2 YORKS Foxhound Kabul Street February 2018 Photo Print
A Foxhound light protected patrol vehicle of the 2nd Battalion, The Yorkshire Regiment, British Army, waits on a muddy open lot in Kabul, Afghanistan, on 27th February 2018, during the battalion’s tour with the NATO Resolute Support Mission. Her top-cover soldier stands in the roof hatch in helmet, glasses and headset beside his rifle, and looks back over his shoulder. She is seen from her front left quarter with camouflage netting along her flank, “NO STEP” on the bonnet and a towing A-frame folded against her grille. Pink-painted blocks of flats, a power pylon and snow on the distant peaks fill the background.
Built in Britain by General Dynamics Land Systems: Force Protection Europe, the Foxhound can limp away from an ambush on only three wheels, and its engine can be swapped out in about thirty minutes. A £90m order in 2012 took the fleet to 300 vehicles. The battalion behind this one has its own story: in January 2013 the original 2nd Battalion, the Green Howards, was merged into the 1st and 3rd Battalions, and the 1st Battalion, the Prince of Wales’s Own, was renumbered as the 2nd. The regiment became the Royal Yorkshire Regiment on 6th April 2023.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
