British Army 3 PARA Jackal Ford Chah-e Anjir 2011 Photo Print
Paratroopers of the 3rd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, British Army, drive a Jackal patrol vehicle head-on through a flooded ford, throwing up great sheets of spray, as they escort the Military Stabilisation Support Team into the town of Chah-e Anjir in Nad-e Ali, Helmand. The gunner stands high behind the roof weapon, with the crew in front of him braced in their seats and radio aerials whipping above them. Behind them the town’s main street goes about its business. A white car is parked outside the low mud-walled shops, a loaded truck heads up the road, and a few local people look on.
Chah-e Anjir was once home to the Helmand Canal Company, which employed thousands of people, before years of fighting and Taliban intimidation emptied its workshops. By the time of 3 PARA’s tour the town was recovering. The Afghan police and army led its security with British support, a new police station had just opened, and small businesses were back at work. Military Stabilisation Support Teams like the one the paratroopers escorted that day followed up with practical projects to restart the local economy.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
