British Army 3 RHA AS90 Guns Firing Czech Republic May 2009 Photo Print
An AS90 155mm self-propelled gun of D Battery, 3rd Regiment Royal Horse Artillery, British Army, fires a round with a bright orange flash from its muzzle on Exercise Flying Rhino in the Czech Republic on 6th May 2009. The gun sits under heavy camouflage netting at the edge of a dark conifer forest, with two more AS90s of the battery beside it, their barrels raised and clouds of white gun smoke drifting across the trees and the long grass in front.
Exercise Flying Rhino was the 1st (UK) Armoured Division’s exercise in the Czech Republic, and in 2009 it included live artillery fire for the first time, with nearly 2,000 British troops training alongside Czech, Danish, Canadian, Lithuanian and German soldiers. The 3rd Regiment Royal Horse Artillery was formed at Abbassia in Egypt in 1938, though its batteries date back to the Napoleonic Wars, and D Battery was first raised in 1794. The regiment supported the 7th Armoured Division, the Desert Rats, through the Western Desert, Tunisia, Italy and North West Europe, and served with its AS90s in Iraq in 2003.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
