British Army 3 RHA AS90 Muzzle Smoke Basra August 2008 Photo Print
An AS90 155mm self-propelled gun of J (Sidi Rezegh) Battery, 3rd Regiment Royal Horse Artillery, British Army, fires during an early evening calibration shoot at Basra in Iraq on 28th August 2008, a great cloud of dark smoke billowing from its muzzle. The low sun turns the dust and smoke a deep amber, with the gun’s turret and raised barrel in silhouette at the left of the frame and a second AS90 of the battery standing in the haze beyond.
In 2008 Basra was the headquarters of Multi-National Division (South East), the British-led command responsible for the southern provinces of Iraq, and the 3rd Regiment Royal Horse Artillery was one of the regiments providing its artillery support. The regiment had already served in Iraq during the invasion of 2003, and its desert-painted AS90s gave British forces in the south long-range firepower until the end of British combat operations in Iraq in 2009.
This print is ideal for Royal Horse Artillery, Royal Artillery and British Army veterans and anyone who served on Operation Telic in Basra.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
