British Army Challenger 3 Tank Millbrook September 2024 Photo Print
A British Army Challenger 3 main battle tank prototype stands on display at DVD2024 at UTAC Millbrook on 18th September 2024, photographed from low down off her right front with her 120mm smoothbore gun swung out over the camera against a bright, sunlit sky. She carries the registration 62 KK 19 and a bridge classification disc on her front plate, with clusters of smoke grenade dischargers on her turret, while a Boxer armoured vehicle numbered 48 is parked beside her and an Army display board stands to one side.
Challenger 3 is a deep rebuild of the Challenger 2 rather than a new design from scratch: existing hulls are refurbished and fitted with an entirely new turret, its armoured structures made by Pearson Engineering in Newcastle and assembled by Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land at Telford. Eight prototypes were built for trials, with live firing in Germany in early 2024, and DVD2024 was among the first occasions a full prototype was shown. Crewed live firing followed in the UK in January 2026, and the tank was shown to the public for the first time at Tankfest in June 2026.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
