British Army Husky Rear Quarter View February 2010 Photo Print
A British Army Husky protected support vehicle, registration KH 47 AB, stands in long winter grass on open downland in England on 9th February 2010, shortly before the type went into service in Afghanistan. She is seen from her right rear quarter, so the camera shows her right side and her tailgate, with red and yellow hazard panels and the number plate. The cargo area is fitted with stowage racks and a frame of antenna mounts, and the gun mount on the cab roof is covered with a canvas cover. Sunlight picks out her sand paint against a dark grey sky and a line of trees along the far hillside.
The Husky arrived as the British Army was replacing its lightly protected vehicles in Helmand after heavy losses to roadside bombs. Its crew compartment is a separate armoured cab bolted to a commercial-style truck chassis. The same basic vehicle was built in three versions, as a utility load carrier, as a command vehicle with extra radios and as a protected ambulance. After Afghanistan the fleet was kept on and brought into the Army’s core vehicle fleet, so many soldiers who joined long after the campaign have also served in a Husky.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
