British Army Husky Support Vehicle Side View February 2010 Photo Print
A British Army Husky protected support vehicle stands broadside on a muddy track in England on 9th February 2010, shortly before the type went out to Afghanistan. Her left side faces the camera, showing the long armoured cab with its heavy doors and small windows, the open load area behind it with stowage racks and antenna mounts, and a gunner in a helmet behind a machine gun in the roof mount. Shafts of winter sun light up her sand paint and the dry grass, under a broken sky of grey and white cloud.
The Husky is built on the International MXT chassis from the American firm Navistar. It was ordered in 2009 as a medium-weight protected vehicle for the jobs that unarmoured lorries and Land Rovers could no longer do safely in Helmand. Its crew sit in a raised armoured cab, which keeps them further from the blast of a buried bomb, while the load area at the back carries the stores of a patrol base or, in the ambulance version, casualties on stretchers. The Husky’s size and protection made it a common sight on supply runs and in battlegroup headquarters across Helmand.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
