British Army KRH Challenger 2 Firing BATUS Canada June 2014 Photo Print
A Challenger 2 main battle tank of the King’s Royal Hussars, British Army, fires its 120mm main gun on the prairie at the British Army Training Unit Suffield (BATUS), Alberta, Canada, in June 2014, while serving with the Royal Welsh Battle Group on Exercise Prairie Lightning. Seen side-on from low in the grass, the tank shows her starboard side, with callsign 21 painted on the turret and hull, as a ball of yellow flame and smoke bursts from the muzzle. A second Challenger 2 sits further back on the plain under a broken, cloudy sky, with the long grass in the foreground blurred out of focus.
The King’s Royal Hussars was formed on 4 December 1992 by the amalgamation of the Royal Hussars and the 14th/20th King’s Hussars, and has served in the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan. Challenger 2 entered British Army service in 1998, with a new turret and the L30 120mm gun. BATUS, on the Canadian prairie near Medicine Hat, has given British armoured battle groups room for live-firing exercises on a scale impossible in the UK since 1972.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
