Royal Navy Lynx Mk 7 847 NAS Gadfly France June 2007 Photo Print
A Lynx Mk 7 of 847 Naval Air Squadron, serial XZ205 and marked ARMY, flies over a turquoise mountain lake near the French Army base at Gap-Tallard in southern France during Exercise Gadfly on 21 June 2007. A road bridge crosses the water below, wooded slopes fall away to the shore, and the rotor blades blur in the bright summer sun. The exercise pushed the crews to the edge of the Lynx's performance at altitude, as preparation for deployment to Afghanistan.
847 Naval Air Squadron is a Fleet Air Arm unit of the Commando Helicopter Force, which supports 3 Commando Brigade Royal Marines, and in this period it flew the Army's battlefield Lynx. The Westland Lynx first flew in 1971 and served with both the Army Air Corps and the Royal Navy, and the Mk 7 was the improved battlefield version used for reconnaissance, escort and light utility work.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
