British Army Royal Engineers Trojan Head-On Op Hamkari 2010 Photo Print
A British Army Trojan Armoured Vehicle Royal Engineers of 5 Armoured Engineer Squadron, 23 Engineer Regiment (Air Assault), drives straight towards the camera through the sand on Operation Hamkari in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, in 2010. Dust sprays out on both sides of the tracks. Two crewmen look out from their hatches between the round vision blocks on the turret top. The heavy plough, with its long tines, hangs low across the front, and the excavator arm rises on the left with a small soft-toy mascot tied to it. The bundle of pipes on its back stretches out wider than the hull behind, against a pale, dusty sky.
23 Engineer Regiment (Air Assault) is the engineer regiment of 16 Air Assault Brigade, and deployed with the brigade to Afghanistan on Operation Herrick 13 in autumn 2010. Its armoured engineers brought the Trojan’s heavy plough, digging arm and fascine into ground riddled with buried bombs. That autumn, 5 Armoured Engineer Squadron was sent out of Helmand to help American and Afghan troops break into the Taliban-held districts west of Kandahar City.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
