British Army Wolfhound Laser Directed Energy Weapon July 2024 Photo Print
A British Army Wolfhound armoured vehicle fitted with a portable Laser Directed Energy Weapon stands on a concrete pad at Dstl's range at Porton Down in Wiltshire on 10 July 2024, when a high-powered laser was fired from a British Army combat vehicle for the first time and hit targets more than a kilometre away. The sand-coloured truck is wrapped in bar armour, cables run from it across the ground, and heavy grey cloud fills the sky above.
The Wolfhound, officially a heavy tactical support vehicle, is a six-wheeled mine-protected truck first used by the British Army in Afghanistan, where it carried stores and towed artillery. For this trial it served as the carrier for the Ministry of Defence's Land Laser Directed Energy Weapon Demonstrator programme, which is looking at lasers as a cheap way to defeat drones and other threats.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
