Royal Navy Sea Harrier Jets Inverted Formation 2000 Photo Print
Two Sea Harrier FA2s of 801 Naval Air Squadron fly in tight formation against a cloudless blue sky, the upper jet rolled fully inverted so that she hangs upside down directly above her partner. Both carry the squadron's black and white chequered fin marking and both have their in-flight refuelling probes extended, with the serial ZH812 on the lower aircraft's rear fuselage. The archive gives only the year 2000 for this photo, and that date may be approximate.
801 Naval Air Squadron flew Sea Harriers from 1981 and ended as the last squadron to operate the type. On 29 November 2005 its jets made their last ever launch from HMS Illustrious and flew past the carrier, and the final Sea Harrier was withdrawn at RNAS Yeovilton on 31 March 2006. The carriers were then left to the RAF and Navy Harrier GR7s and GR9s of Joint Force Harrier.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
