Royal Navy Hawker Hunter Aircraft in Flight Photo Print
A Royal Navy Hawker Hunter GA11, serial XE668 and code 832, flies with her port side to the camera above broken cumulus, with a patchwork of fields showing through the gaps far below. This black and white air-to-air photograph shows her dark upper surfaces against light undersides, a pilot in the cockpit and drop tanks slung beneath the wings. The photograph is undated.
XE668 began life as an RAF Hunter F4 in 1955, flying with Nos 4 and 26 Squadrons before Hawker converted her in 1961 into a GA11, the Fleet Air Arm's training version with the guns removed. With the Navy she served with 738 Naval Air Squadron at Lossiemouth, the Fleet Requirements Unit at Hurn from 1969, and from 1972 to 1984 the Fleet Requirements and Air Direction Unit at Yeovilton, playing the attacker for ships' crews and fighter controllers in training. She ended her days as an instructional airframe at Culdrose and later at Predannack for crash rescue training.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
