HMS Ardent F184 Type 21 Frigate Hard Turn to Starboard Photo Print
HMS Ardent (F184), a Royal Navy Type 21 frigate, heels into a tight turn at speed in this undated aerial photograph, her wake sweeping round in a broad white arc behind her. Taken from high above her port bow, the black and white image looks down on the forecastle, the 4.5 inch gun turret and the tall radar mast above the bridge. Choppy water spreads out to a flat horizon.
For her size Ardent carried a useful armament: the automatic 4.5 inch Mark 8 gun forward, the short-range Seacat missile system and a hangar aft for her helicopter. The gun proved its worth in 1982, when Type 21s were used for naval gunfire support against Argentine positions ashore in the Falklands.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
