HMS Argonaut F56 Leander Class Frigate from the Air Photo Print
HMS Argonaut (F56), a Royal Navy Leander Class frigate, is shown from above in this undated black and white photograph, running at speed across a ruffled sea with a long, broad wake curving away astern. The high viewpoint gives a clear look along her whole length, from the twin 4.5 inch gun turret on the forecastle, past the funnel and masts, to the marked flight deck at the stern, with F56 painted on her hull.
Argonaut was built on the Tyne at Hebburn by Hawthorn Leslie, launched on 8 February 1966 and commissioned into the Royal Navy on 17 August 1967. The twin gun turret shown here places the photograph before her Exocet conversion of 1976 to 1980, when she still carried the original gun armament of the Leander Class, a design built 26 times over for the Royal Navy.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
