HMS Ark Royal R07 Invincible Class Aircraft Carrier April 2008 Usa Photo Print
HMS Ark Royal (R07), an Invincible Class aircraft carrier, heads straight towards the camera on 3 April 2008, while taking part in amphibious training off the US east coast. Under a grey, overcast sky her bow cuts through a choppy, white-capped sea, showing the anchors and rust streaks on the stem, the ski ramp rising to one side and a helicopter parked beside the island.
In early 2003 Ark Royal led the Royal Navy task group that sailed for the Gulf, and during Operation Telic she served as a helicopter carrier supporting the Royal Marines' assault on the Al Faw peninsula in Iraq. On 22 March 2003 two of her Sea King airborne early warning helicopters from 849 Naval Air Squadron collided over the northern Gulf, and all seven aircrew were lost. The loss is still remembered by those who served in the ship and the squadron.

This print is ideal for those who served in HMS Ark Royal, including veterans of Operation Telic in 2003, and anyone with a connection to 849 Naval Air Squadron.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
Your order will be crafted by award-winning framing technicians based in central England, with decades of combined experience. Using the finest FUJI professional photographic papers and premium materials, they ensure exceptional print and frame quality.
Our hand-picked craftsmen and women work with state-of-the-art printing and cutting equipment, yet every frame is still assembled by hand and subject to rigorous quality checks. Their dedication consistently results in outstanding work, appreciated by many returning customers.
