HMS Bacchante F69 Leander Class Frigate Underway Photo Print
HMS Bacchante (F69), a Royal Navy Leander Class frigate, pushes through a choppy sea towards the camera, taken from a low angle off her port bow, undated. A white bow wave curls along her side beneath the pennant number, and a few of her crew can be made out on deck by the bridge and gun turret. The sky behind her is bright and overcast, with the open sea stretching away to the horizon.
Bacchante was sold to New Zealand in 1982 and commissioned as HMNZS Wellington at Portsmouth on 1 October 1982, keeping her pennant F69. On reaching New Zealand she went into a long refit that ran until 1986, and she then served until 1999. On 13 November 2005 she was scuttled off Island Bay, on the south coast of Wellington, to become a dive site.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
