HMS Brecon M29 Hunt Class Mine Warfare Vessel 1996 Photo Print
HMS Brecon (M29), a Hunt Class mine countermeasures vessel, passes through the narrow entrance to Portsmouth Harbour in 1996, her starboard side facing the camera, with the red brick buildings of HMS Dolphin at Fort Blockhouse, Gosport, behind her and the name board clearly readable. A group of sailors fall in on the forecastle, others stand by the funnel, and flags fly from the mast and the ensign staff aft.
Brecon held her last divisions and paid off on 19 July 2005 after more than a quarter of a century of service. Rather than going for scrap, from February 2008 she was moored at HMS Raleigh in Torpoint as a static training ship, giving new recruits their first taste of life aboard a warship. Her background at Fort Blockhouse is itself history, as HMS Dolphin was then the home of the Royal Navy Submarine School.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
