HMS Bristol (D23) Royal Navy Type 82 Destroyer berthed at HMS Excellent (Whale Island) in Portsmouth, an aerial photo showing the ship alongside in one of the Royal Navy’s best-known shore establishments. HMS Bristol (D23) was a Type 82 Destroyer and the only vessel of her class built for the Royal Navy. She had originally been intended as the first of a class of large destroyers designed to escort the planned CVA-01 aircraft carriers that were due to enter service in the early 1970s. However, the rest of the class and the carrier project were cancelled following the 1966 Defence White Paper, making HMS Bristol a unique and important part of modern Royal Navy history.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.

Depending on the image, we may need to crop or resize slightly to get the best result. Our framers use their experience to choose the most visually pleasing option, which can occasionally mean a slightly different frame shape to the preview shown. Either way, the finished product will always be the size you selected, or larger, never smaller. - Is the mount colour always the same?
