HMS Brocklesby M33 Hunt Class Mine Warfare Vessel 29 March 2011 Photo Print
HMS Brocklesby (M33), a Royal Navy Hunt Class mine countermeasures vessel, shoulders through a lively Mediterranean sea on 29 March 2011, seen from astern and a little to port. The view looks straight into her busy quarterdeck, with its cable drums, davits and mine countermeasures gear. A NATO flag and a red flag stream from the mast, spray breaks white under her counter, and a gull wheels overhead.
By spring 2011 she had been drawn into operations off Libya, where pro-Qadhafi forces had laid mines in the approaches to Misrata to stop aid ships reaching the besieged city. Brocklesby found one of them about a mile from the harbour entrance and destroyed it with her Seafox mine disposal system, opening the way for aid to reach the port. Her commanding officer, Lieutenant Commander James Byron, was later awarded the Distinguished Service Cross.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
