HMS Campbeltown F86 Type 22 Frigate January 2007 Photo Print
HMS Campbeltown (F86), a Royal Navy Type 22 frigate, is seen from the air over her port bow in the Red Sea on 20 January 2007, the whole length of her upper deck laid out from the forecastle gun to the empty flight deck. Beyond her masts the ship's rigid inflatable boat swings round towards her, trailing a wide curving wake across the calm water.
She was the third of four Batch 3 Type 22 frigates, a stretched version of the class that brought back a medium calibre gun after the Falklands War. Her armament combined the 4.5 inch Mk8 gun on the forecastle, Harpoon anti-ship missiles, Sea Wolf point defence missiles and the Goalkeeper close-in weapon system, while the large hull gave room for a helicopter and the command facilities needed by a task group staff.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
