HMS Cardiff D58 C Class Light Cruiser 1942 Port Side View Photo Print
HMS Cardiff (D58), a Royal Navy C Class light cruiser, sits apparently stopped in quiet water in 1942, seen along her port side in a bold wartime disruptive camouflage of light and dark panels. Her tall foremast with its gunnery control top, two funnels and low quarterdeck stand out against a pale, misty sky, with a faint hillside on the left of the frame.
For much of the Second World War the old cruiser served as a gunnery training ship in the Clyde, working mainly from Greenock and Lamlash. At the end of January 1942 she began a short refit on the Clyde, finished by the end of February, before returning to her training work. She carried on in this role until 1945.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
