HMS Cromer M103 Sandown Class Minehunter 1999 Photo Print
HMS Cromer (M103), a Royal Navy Sandown Class minehunter, heads out of Portsmouth Harbour in 1999, her port side turned to the camera as she runs past the Gosport shore near the former HMS Dolphin submarine base at Fort Blockhouse. A handful of sailors stand on her forecastle, a small bow wave curls away from her grey hull, and Gosport's tall blocks of flats rise behind moored yachts on the far bank.
Built by Vosper Thornycroft at Woolston, Cromer was one of the Sandown Class single-role minehunters, designed around a variable depth sonar that could be lowered to search for mines ahead of the ship. Her glass-reinforced plastic hull kept her magnetic signature low, and remotely operated submersibles were carried to identify and destroy anything the sonar found.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
