HMS Cumberland F85 Type 22 Frigate March 1997 Photo Print
HMS Cumberland (F85), a Royal Navy Type 22 frigate, making way through calm, sunlit water on 13 March 1997, seen from high on her starboard bow. The 4.5 inch gun turret on the forecastle and the bridge, masts and domes behind it fill the frame, while her wake bends away astern as she turns.
The Type 22 was designed first and foremost as an anti-submarine frigate, towing sonar and carrying helicopters to hunt submarines. The Batch 3 ships were also given extra space and communications so that they could act as flagships for a task group commander.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
