HMS Devonshire D02 County Class Destroyer 1974 Photo Print
HMS Devonshire (D02), a Royal Navy County Class destroyer, lies in Grand Harbour, Valletta, in 1974, viewed from above on her starboard quarter with D02 painted on her stern and hull. Sailors are gathered aft by the flight deck, a harbour tug stands close by her stern, and the terraced buildings, fortifications and dockyard cranes of Malta fill the background.
Captain Peter Buchanan was in command from 1973 to 1974, the period of this photograph. By then she was well into her second decade of service and still carried her original Seaslug and Seacat missile armament. She was decommissioned under defence cuts in 1978.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
