HMS Diamond D35 Daring Class Destroyer 1961 Photo Print
HMS Diamond (D35), a Royal Navy Daring Class destroyer, comes straight towards the camera in 1961, seen almost dead ahead from the air with her bow wave curling away on both sides. Her A and B gun mountings are stacked one behind and above the other in front of the bridge, with the tall foremast and its radar dish rising behind. The sea around her is choppy and broken by white crests.
In June 1964 Diamond collided with the frigate HMS Salisbury in the English Channel during a naval demonstration. From 1970 she served as a harbour training ship at the Priddy's Hard jetty in Gosport for the Marine Engineering School at HMS Sultan, with her steam plant kept in working order for trainees. She was replaced in that role by HMS Londonderry and was broken up at Rainham, Kent, in 1981.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
