HMS Dragon D35 Type 45 Destroyer June 2026 Middle East Photo Print
HMS Dragon (D35), a Royal Navy Type 45 destroyer, is seen from above and slightly astern of her beam, her port side facing the camera as she makes steady way across a deep blue sea in the Middle East on 29 June 2026. The low sun picks out her grey hull and upperworks, the red dragon on her bow and the pennant number on both bow and transom, beneath a pale sky with scattered cloud. She was in the region to give area air defence and help keep the sea lanes open for commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
Dragon was the fourth of the six Type 45 destroyers. She was built on the Clyde, launched in November 2008 and commissioned in April 2012, and has always been based in Portsmouth. She is the only ship of the class to carry a large red Welsh dragon on each side of her bow, marking her affiliation with Cardiff and Wales.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
