HMS Echo H87 Echo Class Survey Vessel 29 March 2014 Photo Print
HMS Echo (H87), a Royal Navy Echo Class survey vessel, lies under a heavy, broken sky in the southern Indian Ocean on 29 March 2014, her starboard side facing the camera from close to sea level. Low overhead, an Australian AP-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft passes above her mast during the search for Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370. Rust streaks run down her hull below the anchor recess and along her side.
Echo was on patrol in the Indian Ocean when the Malaysian authorities asked for help, and she was diverted to join the Australian-led search alongside the submarine HMS Tireless. Working with ships and aircraft from several other nations, her sailors lowered CTD probes, which measure conductivity, temperature and depth, so that the sound profile of the water could be understood while listening for the aircraft's flight recorders.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
